WEBINAR 1 — Women's, Children's and Adolescents' Health in Humanitarian Settings

The renewed Global Strategy for Women’s, Children’s and Adolescents' Health names "settings" as one of its nine priorities, and calls on all humanitarian and development actors to redouble their efforts and to work better together to build health and resilience among the women, children and adolescents who live in the most fragile and volatile circumstances. At the UN Summit for Refugees and Migration held in September, a commitment was endorsed to recognize and address the particular vulnerabilities of women and children, including combatting sexual- and gender-based violence and ensuring that all women and girls are provided access to sexual and reproductive health care services.

The Everywhere workstream in support of Every Woman, Every Child advocates for greater focus on contexts, settings, risks and crises, and brings together key actors from both the humanitarian and development sectors, to identify conceptual, policy and programming opportunities to better support the health of women, children and adolescents in all settings everywhere.
